December 26th

The gifts are unwrapped, the Christmas tree has an abandoned look about it. The ham and stuffing have been devoured and the relatives have departed; the house feels empty. This is December 26th.

I always feel a letdown after Christmas each year. It’s my favorite time of the year, yet it seems to race by so fast that you hardly get the tree up and sing a carol and it’s all over. I often refer to it as the December 26th Blues.

The thing about this year, for me at least, is the reminder that the closer to January we get, the sooner my new novel starts the production process!

I truly hope your Christmas was an amazing time! See ya next year!
